Conway Band
Conway is an alternative rock band from Chicago, Illinois. Starting as a bedroom project with their first EP ‘Last Chance to Dance,’ they have since explored multiple genres and styles of rock. Formed from the ashes of a previous project, Aidan Hargis found Austin Van Johnson and Jake Dillon as bandmates, and the group has been blowing the doors off of Chicago venues with their electric onstage performances ever since. With a firm root in punk rock and pop punk, Conway has expanded with influences from dream pop, Britpop, and indie rock, and adopting aspects from all over the genre spectrum including metalcore and emo, bringing endless new flavors to their favorite styles of music. Austin's Bio
From the age of ten, Austin has been tearing up any kit he can get his hands on. From the days of Jazz Band, Drumline and Symphonic Band to the bands of the Chicago underground, Austin has been using his chops and intuition to mold the sound of Conway with his unique brand of percussion. With the ethos of punk, the skills of jazz, and an approach all his own, Austin makes every fill, beat, and groove unique to him.
Aidan's Bio
Aidan began his musical journey at six years old playing violin, which has continued through multiple instruments and bands, a music degree, and fourteen years of playing, writing, and singing his heart out. Aidan cut his teeth in Chicago’s DIY punk scene, playing any backyard, basement, or skate park he could, and continued up through venues and festivals. An energetic and accomplished frontman, lyricist, guitarist, and singer, Aidan has made music his life for as long as he can remember.
Jake's Bio
Jake has been a part of the Chicago music scene for over a decade, playing in bands for backyard gigs, recording and mixing for his own projects, and other bands in the local scene. His rolling bass tone gives Conway a depth and richness few could. His eye for detail allows him to sharpen Conway’s sound and turns good ideas into amazing results. He likes his riffs fast, his music loud, and plays every show like it’s his last.
